Another day, and another follow me around. This time - Birmingham. Due to my iPhone 5 deciding that it liked to make music by loosening the camera so it sounded like a Lego brick was clunking around inside, and that Siri decided to chat to me of her own accord at three in the morning, me and Geran made the decision to take it to an Apple store. Well, lucky for me, we don't have an Apple store in Shrewsbury, so off to Birmingham we trotted. Other than the hour and a half long wait in the Apple store, (We were however served by a lovely young man who couldn't do any more to help us) we decided to make a day of it, so I thought I would bring you guys along! This may seem familiar, but this is a common sight to me on a train ride. Everytime that I go for a journey, there are two drinks that I have to consume... That made me sound like a monster needing to consume darkness but just wait until they have run out... Monster unleashed! Nothing can beat a cup of tea, and the Naked Juice, is one of the nicest drinks I have ever tasted. It may look like dirty toilet water, but it has nothing but pure fruit and vegetables. Nothing else. Even Geran decided to give it a go after all of the yummy noises I make when drinking it. So, one of the first things that me and Geran did after visiting the Apple store, was go for a wander. Every time that me and Geran visit Birmingham we tend to do all of the mainstream shops and end up hot, bothered and bashed by crowds, so this time we decided to do the outskirts and take it easy. One of the first little places we found was this gorgeous little shopping strip. Just a row of shops that are full of unique and kooky places which I adore. The outside alone was beautiful and full of art. The first shop that drew my attention was a small vintage shop that was full of all things peculiar and white washed furniture which I adore. The Alice in Wonderland teapots are on my official wish list. BONUS GAME *** Spot the Geran in the mirrors whenever I tried to take a photo. Now, the next shop isn't for everybody but definantly my style. I love all things kooky, and different and these are no exception. Irregular Choice is the best shoe shop for all things...well...irregular! They have shoes with all different designs, heels and colours, and it is one of my personal aims to have a collection of these. Please excuse the window shots but I could resist taking thousands of photos. My favourites have to be the unicorn heeled shoes, and the bride and groom. Which pair are your favourite? Now we did have lunch, however I believe I stuffed it into my mouth before I even whipped out my camera, and I doubted that you would like to see the crumbs on the plate. However, if you are ever in Birmingham then find the Food Court which is next to one of the Waterstones. They serve the best Calzone, and I can't go anywhere else when my stomach has the rumbles only Calzones can satisfy. Well, as my boyfriend is well known for being a massive technology nerd, our trip to Birmingham was no exception. Geran decided that he wanted to visit his old work place in a different town and eye up the Pebble smart watch he was after so off I (was dragged) went. The one thing that I will say for the Birmingham in CEX is that I love the design of the art work in the shop. You can't run for so long on an empty stomach (And by that, I mean coffee) so we decided to find out way to the Cafe outside of the Oasis market, and on the way we found some amazing Graffiti. I have to say that I love the robots. I had a normal Latte, and Geran had a Chai Latte and did more playing with the new toy, than drinking but I have to say that they were delicious. They came with little chocolates, that I saved for some reason and they melted in my bag. Please tell me that I am not the only one that squirrels away little packets of sugar and jam for no reason? Yes? Dam it. So of course after we popped into the Oasis market afterwards, which again is a shop full of random goodies, and the smell of incense. I fell in love with the evil Skull bunny, and I spent around an hour staring at all of the gorgeous necklaces they have. I couldn't get any pictures of the jewellry though as I was getting strange looks from a lady stood next to me. Now there are only a few places in the outskirts we could look through before the weather got the better of us so we decided to go closer to the town centre where we went into urban outfitters. They have some gorgeous items this time, as usually I am not too fond of their brand. They had a massive photo booth in the middle of the shop where customers could take their photo and stick it to the machine. They also had the best water bottle in the world which made me ridiculously happy. Now of course I couldn't visit Birmingham without raiding the Make up counters of Sephora, and of course my favourite - superdrug and found some wonderful goodies which made me dribble all over the make up artists counter. I am convinced that's why they have tissue boxes around. Not for removing the product but to remove dribble from envious customers. Of course here are some of my favourites - especially my benefit obsession. However they did have a huuuuuuge Moschino teddy, that was twice the size of me to celebrate the release of their new scent which of course I stood sniffing over and over. House of Fraser (Being right next to Superdrug) was of course the next stop for me where I found out that sparkly shoes are apparently the range at the moment, and that they have some of the cutest stationary that even Geran enjoyed rifling through. And finally, the last thing that we did was look through the main shopping centre where we ooh'd and ahh'd at the Build a Bear Factory and I found the most kawaii stationary shop that ever lived. I can't for the life of me remember what the name of it was but if any of you know please tell me! There is a milk carton pencil case I must have in my life. And of course the obligatory selfie of the day. So there you have it! I apologise for the ridiculously long blog post, and photos galore but I hope you enjoyed following me around.
Where is your favourite place to go for a shopping spree? Much love xx
