We have all found ourselves twiddling our thumbs on a Sunday morning, thinking of what to do.
Watch T.V? Nah, I do that everyday! Sleep in? Obviously, but what after? Clean? ... Just...No. Well every Sunday, me and my boyfriend go for a potter around town. Living in town, really does have it's advantages, but if you don't? Just hop on a bus! Cheap and cheerful! Every Sunday, we get up in the morning...Okay late in the morning...Okay I get up at lunchtime.. and then have a big pot of tea at our table and chat about the day ahead. We use Sundays to get closer, and relax into normal life after work. Sort of like a cushioning against the imminent Monday morning feeling. Once we have had our cup of tea, we head into town to look around all of the charity shops and vintage shops to see what we can find. Charity shops are full of all wonderful and weird items, that fill my house full of character and charm. Last weekend I found a lovely little box, that was blue and white striped with a wooden fish on it to go with my seaside themed bathroom. We both love the thrill of finding something old but new to us, and I have an odd obsession with old battered boxes, or anything victorian. Once we have found our goodies, or our shoulders are burning with the weight of the bags we stroll off for a light lunch. My favourite sunday lunch is Ryvita with Philadelphia, cucumber and lots of black pepper. It's super simple, but so light and yummy. I heartily recommend it! Which is of course accompanied by a big pot of tea. Sunday is a tea day...Seriously. Once we have filled our tummies, we often potter off for a walk around the outskirts, and discovering pools of water hidden from all, and climbing rocks that no feet have found. Tranquil areas that fill your mind with peace. Areas you can share with your loved ones, or even on your own that calm your mind and soul. Sounds slightly hippyish, but we all have that one area that just makes you...Relax. Now depending on what we want to do, the evening can be filled with two options. The first one (If we are being social bees) is popping to a restaurant, or a pub with some friends for a little drink, and a laugh. Sunday is great day to catch up on everyone's week and to kick back and have some fun. The towns won't be full of party animals like on a Friday or Saturday so it will be quiet enough to be intimate, but lively enough that you can meet some interestingly hilarious people. However if we are being hermits for the night, we head back to our home, and start the pampering. This starts with a nice shower/bath and then digging out all of those toiletries you have stored for no reason for years and finally using them. Scrubs/Masks and lotions that end up creating an exciting but strange smell in your bathroom. My favourites right now are the Soap and Glory body scrubs that smell like cookies. They have oats in them which make me think of food and that...I like! Then after the pampering session, and when there is too much steam in the bathroom to see, me and Geran cuddle up on the sofa with a nice film. My Sunday favourites are Love Actually, Notting Hill and anything with Melissa McCarthy in it, such as Identity Thief, Bridesmaids or The Heat. I just find her so funny and refreshing. Cuddles, Cup of Tea and a funny film. What more could you want to wind down on a Sunday night? What do you all do on a Sundays? Relax at home? Or start a rollercoaster of a day? Let me know!

Sounds like a lovely relaxing Sunday - I'm usually busy at weekends, but I like to take a relaxing day every now and then.
